Complete solutions from a single source!

Already known for world-class custom engineering and manufacturing, Hoffmann + Krippner, Inc. announces a restructuring of its partnerships to focus more fully on its end-to-end design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities. To that end, Hoffmann + Krippner is now part of HK Systems, a technology group of four vertically integrated sister and partner companies.

The members of the HK Systems group develop and produce custom input devices (i.e. membrane switches and touch solutions) and sensors, enclosures, devices with software, and connectivity solutions to meet challenges of Industry 4.0. HK Systems stands for custom product development with a focus on success-oriented solutions, including:

  • Hoffmann + Krippner GmbH and Hoffmann + Krippner Inc., the German company and its American subsidiary known internationally for its input devices and functional foils / printed electronics,
  • TES frontdesign, producing best-in-class input devices and metal enclosures,
  • HELICOM, offering leading electronics development and connectivity solutions, and
  • ROBIOTIC, designing and implementing end-to-end custom IoT solutions and applications.

“The new HK Group consolidates our individual high-class manufacturing abilities to better serve customers looking for the best possible quality in end-to-end product development for custom input devices,” says Jens Kautzor, CEO of Hoffmann + Krippner, Inc. “By incorporating every aspect of the production and manufacturing process into one organization, HK Systems will be better positioned to respond to and support current market conditions.”

Indeed, with operations spread across three countries and access to geographically diverse supply chains, HK Systems is poised to better navigate the changing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thanks to the tightly integrated relationships of its member companies, the newly formed HK Systems will be able to supply individual components, build an entire solution, or take a new idea from its initial form through final production all in-house through a single point of contact. HK Systems will be able to supply materials and components as well as handle all design engineering aspects. As a result, we can meet almost any need and deliver world-class end-to-end product engineering with German craftsmanship, international reach, and a streamlined operational model.

As a result of the realignment, Hoffmann + Krippner will be shifting business away from its previous third-party distribution and supply services for sensors, ending formal relationships with suppliers Inelta Sensorsysteme and PIL Sensoren GmbH, in order to focus on expanded in-house capabilities. Our third-party suppliers have functioned as valuable partners, and the new HK Systems will work independently with previous distribution customers to ensure their needs continue to be met.

“Successfully meeting customer needs has always been the top priority at Hoffmann + Krippner and all related companies,” says Kautzor. “This realignment will expand our capability to tackle the market’s most pressing challenges through a single source solution. Now we can meet almost any engineering or manufacturing requirement for complete input devices under one roof.”
