With the P53 STEEL HEAD series, we are offering the first ultrasonic sensor in completely enclosed stainless steel housing. Due to the special housing construction made of stainless steel (1.4404) with a roughness depth of 0.6µm, the STEEL HEAD is the perfect solution in harsh environments being exposed to dust, moisture and vapor. The EHEDG-certified (European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group) versions with gap-free housing are predestined for use in the packaging, food and beverage industry. The high degree of protection IP68 / IP69K enables thorough cleaning of the sensor. Measurement ranges of up to 1500 mm and the high temperature resistance up to + 80 °C opens up a wide range of applications.
